Social media, point-of-sale material, influencers and recipes are among the elements Avocados From Mexico will use to promote the fruit in Canada with its new Avotime campaign.
AFM plans to launch a new Pinterest account and will also post content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter, according to a news release.
Advertising will be done in a number of places, including public transit, Spotify, and the arenas of the Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks and Toronto Maple Leafs.
AFM is also an official sponsor of the Nutrition Month campaign by Dietitians of Canada, so avocados will be integrated into TV segments for the campaign and AFM recipes included on Cookspiration, the website and app of the Nutrition Month campaign.
In-store promotion for Avotime will be done with retailers including IGA, Metro, Loblaws, Walmart, Longo’s and Sobey’s.
Per capita avocado consumption in Canada has grown rapidly in recent years, per the release. The website for the campaign is avocadosfrommexico.ca.
