Fallbrook, Calif.-based Del Rey Avocado’s spring 2018 website redesign by TMD Creative has received recognition from national awards programs.

TMD received a 2018 Silver Davey Award for website design from the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, and an honorable mention for website design from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals’ 2018 MarCom Awards.

TMD Creative also received a Centauri Award from Vega Digital Awards in the informational online video category, for producing a series of documentaries on Del Rey’s Fair Trade program, which raises funds for the growers and their families in Tancitaro, Michoacan, Mexico.

A mini documentary on Del Rey’s site, “Partnerships That Change Lives,” shows the benefits the community receives through the Fair Trade program.

“It has been humbling for all of us here because as a team we were able to create something that not only highlights our commitment to good stewardship but tells a compelling story at the same time,” Del Rey Avocado President Bob Lucy said in the release. “We are happy to call our relationship with (TMD President) Nick Pasculli and his team at TMD Creative a true strategic marketing partner based on a shared set of values.”

The new website focuses on providing information quickly to retail and foodservice buyers.

TMD Creative is based in San Diego and Salinas, Calif.
