Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Pedro Martinez will speak at the New England Produce Council’s  Produce, Floral & Food Service Expo Keynote Breakfast in Boston.

The expo is scheduled for Sept. 12-14 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.

Martinez, a right-handed pitcher, spent 18 years in the big leagues and made eight All-Star teams. He was voted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015.

Brian Numainville, a consultant and expert on consumer-centered marketing research and the food industry, will serve as moderator for a consumer panel at the breakfast.

The panel will discuss consumer purchasing habits including the effect of media and apps, online shopping, locally grown and other topics.
