With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, Fowler, Calif.-based grower-packer-shipper Bee Sweet Citrus highlights its specialty citrus for the holiday promotion.
The sales team reports a strong supply of specialty citrus varieties to meet consumer demand, according to a news release.
Cara cara navels have a bright pink flesh that bely the typical orange exterior. More easily recognizable with a blushed rind, blood oranges are often used to enhance the flavor of specialty cocktail beverages, salads and baked goods.
“Both varieties are aesthetically pleasing, delightfully flavorful and extremely nutritious,” Bee Sweet Citrus director of communications Monique Bienvenue said in the release.
Meyer lemons, grapefruit and mandarins are also available.
