Simcoe, Ontario-based Berlo’s Best, Canada’s largest sweet potato producer, is adding another 5,500 square feet to its storage warehouse for a total of 90,000 square feet.

“It’s not dramatic,” said COO Nick VanBerlo, “but it will help us out a lot in the fall.”
Along with the orange-fleshed covington variety, VanBerlo is growing 50 acres of murasaki, a purple-skinned, white-fleshed Japanese sweet potato, for a customer.
