An individuals gender and the presence of children in a home significantly change the likelihood of a blueberry purchase.
Families without kids and those with 3 or more children at home were more likely to purchase blueberries than those with 1 or 2 children.
53% of women and only 37% of men were likely to purchase blueberries.
Also, consumers care about organic blueberries. Nearly four in 10 (39%) of buyers said they purchase organic berries at least some of the time, up from 35% who said so last year. Seventeen percent said they always bought organic blueberries.
