BrightFarms plans to build its next greenhouse facility in Abilene, Texas.

The baby greens and herbs grower has facilities in Rochelle, Ill., Culpeper County, Va., and Bucks County, Pa. A Wilmington, Ohio, greenhouse will have its first harvest in July, according to a news release.

The Texas greenhouse will be completed in 2019; the company did not release any other details about it.

The company will have 486,000 square feet of greenhouse baby greens and herbs in production when the Ohio facility’s harvest starts this summer.

Brightfarms and other urban/container/indoor growers recently formed the Controlled Environment Agriculture Food Safety Coalition for leafy greens, according to the release.
