Brent Erenwert, president of Houston-based Brothers Produce has shifted his role to “chief innovation officer,” pulling away from day-to-day managing duties.
Rick Sanders, a 40-year industry veteran with nine years at Brothers Produce, assumes the role of president and general manager for the company, according to a news release.
Don Governale is the company’s vice president of sales and operations. Governale started with Brothers Produce as director of corporate development and, in his new role, will oversee all sales categories and manage all operations.
“I am very excited to transition into my new role as chief innovation officer of Brothers Produce Houston,” Erenwert said in the release. “This change will allow me to use my vision and focus on the future as we continue to innovate and enter the next chapter of our surging growth.”
Erenwert plans to focus on future avenues of growth, with one his early projects aimed at creating a new procurement division focusing on retail sales, storage, consulting, brokering and transportation, which he plans to direct.
