The Bunzl Agriculture Group, Oxnard, Calif., is introducing a line of eco-packaging Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit expo.

The company will have the packaging, made from more sustainable materials, at booth No. 3609 at Fresh Summit, Oct. 18-19 in Anaheim, California.

According to a news release, the lineup includes:

  • Eco-Sleeve: A paper-based sleeve that slides over a PET or fiber tub. Graphics, such as nutrition information, can be printed on the sleeve.
  • PHA Bio-Bag: Polyhydroxyalkanoate, or PHA, is a biopolymer derived by bacterial fermentation that produces a biodegradable polymer. Graphics can be printed on the bags, which can replace traditional LDPE produce bags.
  • Wash-Off Label: Bunzl has several adhesive options for customers who want labels to be removable for recycling.
  • Top Seal Fiber Line: Bunzl’s fiber tray line-up has been expanded to include fiber tubs that can be vented and heat sealed. Demonstrations of the process, using Proseal equipment, will be conducted at the company’s Fresh Summit booth.
