The New York Apple Association has hired Cailin Kowalewski as assistant account manager.

In her new position, she will work with foodservice directors, dietitians and the apple association account managers on promotions, according to a news release.

Kowalewski was with Cornell University’s Cooperative Extension in Wayne County, as the nutrition and consumer science team coordinator. In that role, she helped address nutrition and community health needs and oversaw grant objectives for the regional Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program Outreach Team, according to the release.

“NYAA has plans of working with dieticians throughout the country and Cailin will play a vital role,” Cynthia Haskins, association president, said in the release.

Kowalewski graduated from Tufts University in 2015, with a Master’s Degree in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition.
