Calavo Growers, Santa Paula, Calif., has promoted Rob Wedin and Mark Lodge.

Wedin, who has been at Calavo Growers since 1973, has been promoted to executive vice president of fresh sales. He has been vice president of sales and fresh marketing since 1993, according to a new release.

“Over his many years of leadership at Calavo, Rob has delivered a strong record of business growth, developed new organizational capabilities and cultivated strategic customer relationships,” CEO James Gibson, said in the release.

Wedin has been a director on the California Avocado Commission and serves on the executive committee of, a consortium of suppliers who are working to facilitate e-commerce adoption in the produce supply chain, according to the release.

Lodge is now chief operations officer, responsible for overseeing production facilities in the U.S. and Mexico. He joined the company in 2019 as executive vice president of RFG business operations. He most recently was executive vice president of Revolution Foods, according to the release.

“Mark has brought his expertise in food service innovation to our operations and has demonstrated his capability as a business leader in evolving and strengthening our global supply chain,” Gibson said in the release.
