The California Fresh Fruit Association’s annual meeting will feature speakers on issues affecting debate on the global economy and immigration.
Ruben Navarrette, a syndicated columnist, radio and podcast host, will speak on “Solving the Immigration Puzzle: What We’re Doing Wrong — and How to Get It Right.”
“Mr. Navarrette is a fresh and increasingly important voice in the national political debate,” according to a news release from the CFFA. “He offers new thinking on many of the major issues of the day, especially on thorny questions involving ethnicity and natural origin.”
John Manzella, an expert on global business, emerging risks and latest economic trends, will speak on “Economic Trends, International Trade and What’s Ahead,” according to the release.
The Fresno-based association’s annual meeting will be March 3-5 in Santa Barbara, Calif.
