Patricia “Trish” Zecca is the new chairwoman for The Produce for Better Health Foundation.

Zecca is the senior program manager of global nutrition of the Americas at Campbell Soup Co.

PBH President and CEO Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak said Zecca joins the board at a “time of transformation.”

“Trish’s vision and innovative perspectives will be invaluable as we begin to transform how the industry and influencers work together to give consumers new reasons to enjoy more fruits and vegetables,” Reinhardt Kapsak said in a news release.

Zecca and the soup company have been PBH members for eight years. The organization supports increased consumption of all forms of fruits and vegetables, including processed.

“I’m eager to help inspire new behaviors and, in collaboration with all PBH members, help people discover that eating more fruits and vegetables — whether fresh, frozen, canned, packaged, dried or 100 percent juice — is a delicious way to enjoy a happy, healthy and active lifestyle.”

Zecca is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and International Life Sciences Institute, and is involved in public and private forums across government, scientific, trade and health professional organizations to improve public health, according to the release.
