Looking to learn more about sustainable practices throughout the fresh produce supply chain? Register now to hear from industry leaders at The Packer's Sustainable Produce Summit, a free virtual event Sept. 22-24.


Attendees will hear from Santa Paula, Calif.-based Limoneira, Salinas, Calif.-based Tanimura & Antle and West Sacramento, Calif.-based Raley’s at the Sustainable Produce Summit about how their companies are prioritizing sustainable practices.

Limoneira will present Sept. 22, the day of the event focused on the environmental element of sustainability. Vice president of global marketing John Chamberlain and vice president of agricultural operations Edgar Gutierrez will discuss how the company breaks down the various components of sustainability and its initiatives in different areas.

Raley’s will present Sept. 23, the day of the event that covers consumer demand for sustainability and how the industry is responding to it. Michael Schutt, senior category manager for produce and floral, and Mark Koppang, director of sustainability, will talk about the components of sustainability most important to Raley’s, what that focus looks like in the produce division, and how those interests play into what the retailer wants from its suppliers.

Tanimura & Antle will present Sept. 24, the day of the event dedicated to discussions around social responsibility. CEO and president Scott Grabau, chief administrative officer Kerry Varney, PlantTape USA president Brian Antle and employee housing supervisor Briselda Gutierrez will discuss the company’s emphasis on taking care of its people.
