Analytics firm Category Partners has purchased Beacon Research Solutions, and principal Cara Ammon is joining Category Partners as director of research.
Ammon, who worked for more than a decade with Nielsen Perishables Group, has experience in analyzing loyalty-card data and promotion and pricing strategies as well as in conducting focus groups and in-store testing.
“Cara’s vast consumer-research expertise, coupled with her ability to provide strategic answers to critical consumer questions, allows us to deliver more robust insights to our clientele and the industry,” Category Partners CEO Tom Barnes said in the release. “CP’s goal is to harness and integrate actionable insights so our partners can make supply chain-inclusive, fact-based decisions that drive their sales and marketing plans. Bringing a research veteran like Cara into the company moves Category Partners a huge step further toward achieving our goal.”
Ammon also expressed excitement to take on her new role.
