Shipments of Sky Valley heirloom navel oranges from Cecelia Packing begin the week of Dec. 11.
The Orange Cove, Calif.-based company expects to continue shipments of the fruit through March, according to a news release. Cecelia Packing grows its heirloom navels on one ranch, a practice designed to ensure consistency.
The navels are available in bags and bulk, and volume is limited.
“Our current Sky Valley crop is looking excellent as we get ready to harvest,” sales manager Randy Jacobson said in the release. “We are excited about the early start to the Sky Valley season and are expecting as flavorful of a crop as ever with terrific eating quality and a solid supply into the spring.”
The company is also shipping navels and cara cara navels. The latter are available in 3-pound, 5-pound and 8-pound bags.
