Rancho Cordova, Calif.-based Renaissance Food Group will feature new Chef Veggie Starters at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit Oct. 18-19 in Anaheim, Calif.

The fresh food company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Calavo Growers Inc., and the product line will be at booth No. 1837 and in the Fresh Ideas Showcase, according to a news release.

Garden Highway Chef Veggie Starters were created in response to consumer demand for versatile, healthy and convenient meal components, according to the release. There are three flavors: onion and celery; sweet potato and butternut; and cauliflower and carrot.

The combinations are good for stuffings, soups, sauces, roasts, grain-free rice substitutes, sautés and more, according to the company.

The starters are packed in square cup containers with a tamper-evident, tear-away strip, with high-graphic labels featuring the Garden Highway logo and multiple usage suggestions.

“Our carefully curated blends of fresh vegetables and herbs make cooking fun for the end consumer by offering a variety of uses within each flavor,” Nelia Alamo, vice president of communications, said in the release.

The Fresh Summit expo is Oct. 18-19 in Anaheim, Calif.
