Driscoll’s won the Best of Show award at the Produce Marketing Association Foodservice Conference and Expo, and Coastline Family Farms took second place.

Good Farms received the Best Product Promo award, and Duda Farm Fresh Foods won the PMA Produce Plate Award and the People’s Choice Award from the event’s strolling lunch competition.

PMA announced the awards on the tradeshow floor July 27.

Overall attendance at the show was about 1,900, including about 600 buyers, according to a news release. There were 201 companies exhibiting, including 30 first-timers.

Buyers included foodservice distributors Sysco, U.S. Foods, Pro*Act and Produce Alliance, among others. Cruise lines Norwegian, Carnival and Royal Caribbean participated, as did Hilton Hotels and Marriott. Yale Hospitality, Stanford University and other noncommercial operators also attended, as did restaurant chains like Panera Bread, Blaze Pizza, Veggie Grill, Sweetgreen and others.
