Coastline Family Farms, Salinas, Calif., has hired Marc Kirby as vice president of finance and accounting.

It’s a new position for the company, which is expanding its production base. Coastline has a new joint venture for dry onions in Oregon to complement California production, for a year-round West Coast dry onion program, Robert Verloop, chief operating officer and general manager, said in a news release.

Kirby previously worked at Berry Pack as business operations manager, and Sambrailo Packaging as chief financial officer and controller. His background includes finance, accounting and executive management positions.

Kirby reports to Verloop in the Salinas office.

Barbara Morgan, the company’s controller for the past 18 years, is retiring.

“Barbara has been integral to the growth of Coastline Family Farms, we will miss her dedication and support of the growers, staff and the overall Coastline organization” Larry Cox, CEO and grower-owner of Coastline, said in the release.
