Country Fresh Inc., Houston, released its Country Fresh Creations Blender Salsa kits in early January. The kits include everything for a bowl of salsa in a pre-washed, pre-measured package.
(Jan. 11) Fresh salsa is as easy as the flip of a switch with a new kit on the market.
Houston-based Country Fresh Inc. rolled out its first line in the salsa category, the Country Fresh Creations Blender Salsa Kits, in early January to stores nationwide.
The kits include everything for a bowl of salsa in a 20-ounce pre-washed, pre-measured package. The kits are designed so consumers can drop the contents of the bag into a food processor or blender without the hassle of washing, peeling or chopping.
These new kits provide a fresher alternative than pre-cut salsa, said Doug Burris, Country Freshâs director of marketing.
âMost salsa products on the market are already blended with preservatives and other ingredients that many consumers may not want,â Burris said.
The kits come in four different flavors and a suggested retail price of $4.49-4.99:
- Mild, which contains fresh tomatoes, fire-roasted jalapeno peppers, garlic, onions, cilantro and spices
- Verde, which contains fresh tomatillos, onions, cilantro, jalapeno peppers, lime juice and spices
- Chipotle, which contains onions, green onions, cilantro, tomatoes, chipotle peppers, Anaheim peppers, garlic and spices and
- Habanero, which contains fresh tomatoes, onions, cilantro, green onions, habanero peppers, fire-roasted jalapenos, garlic and spices.
Blender Salsa kits introduce a way of making salsa â from fresh ingredients â to consumers who may have thought it was too time-consuming, Burris said. Consumers also can customize their flavors by adding or taking away from the contents before blending.
âConsumers can choose from four different flavors, combine and blend the ingredients according to their preference and enjoy fresh salsa in seconds,â he said.
