The Canadian Produce Marketing Association has a new board of directors for 2020-21.
Elections were at the board’s annual meeting in mid-May.
The new executive committee members, according to a news release, are:

  • Davis Yung, Fresh Direct Produce Ltd. (wholesaler), chairman;
  • Oleen Smethurst, Costco Wholesale, Canada, (retail), past chairwoman;
  • Guy Milette, Courchesne Larose Ltée, (wholesaler) first vice chairman;
  • Mario Masellis, M.L. Catania Co. Ltd. (wholesaler) second vice chairman;;
  • Colin Chapdelaine, Star Group/BC Hot House Foods Inc. (grower-packer-shipper) exec. committee member; and
  • George Pitsikoulis, Canadawide Fruit (wholesaler) exec. committee member.

The CPMA’s new board members are:

The CPMA also thanked Les Mallard of Fyffes North America Inc., Frank Gambioli of Loblaw Cos., Tim York of Markon Cooperative Inc., and Andrea Palmer of Nova Agri Inc. for volunteer hours and contribution to the CPMA over the years, according to the release.
