Crawford Packaging, London, Ontario, is expanding in the U.S., with a new warehouse in Valdosta, Ga.
The facility helps the company with a goal of serving all of North America, according to a news release.
Valdosta is a strategic location for the new facility, according to the release.
“We continue to grow with our top clients and ensure we remain relevant to them as they grow,” John Ashby, president, said in the release. “Our location is strategically placed to efficiently ship product to a number of our top clients who are located in the U.S. southeast.”
Stuart Jackson, vice president of produce, said with the locally grown produce trends, Crawford Packaging wants to be closer to production regions.
“Locally-grown is more and more important to consumers.” Jackson said in the release. “With this trend, many of our greenhouse customers are locating closer to their customer base.
“We are excited to get local with them to reduce the carbon footprint in the produce packaging supply chain.”
