With peak mango season in full swing in June and July from Nayarit and Sinaloa in Mexico, Crespo Organic is promoting mangoes with retail support and social media contests.
The summer program includes promotional pricing and point-of-sale materials aimed to educate and inspire consumers, according to a news release.
Crespo Organic is the brand for mangoes from El Grupo Crespo in Mexico, with RCF Distributors in Rio Rico, Ariz., the marketing and distribution division for the grower-shipper.
In the first contest, running throughout July, consumers share photos of savory mango dishes (that include Crespo Organic mangoes) for the chance to win kitchen utensils.
The kids contest, running through June and July, involves sharing a video of a child demonstrating the #mangohack (using the rim of a cup to cut the mango flesh from the seed). This contest also includes the chance to win prizes, including a Cuisinart snow cone maker and more, according to the release.
Crespo encourages retailers to promote the contests to their customers through in-store and digital content.
