Crowley Logistics has opened an expanded warehouse in Miami in early April, consolidating two facilities and adding 60,000 square feet to the operation.
The 180,000 square-foot warehouse has double the number of receiving doors and has more than 5,000 pallet rack locations, according to a news release. There are 95 container spaces and improved truck flow plan to increase safety and prevent cross traffic, according to the release.
The warehouse now features a Foreign Trade Zone, allowing the facility to receive, store and process cargo without it being subject to formal U.S. Customs import procedures, according to the release.
“This improved consolidation facility is designed to enhance the customer experience, increase the velocity of our customers’ supply chains, decrease total landed costs and offer seamless and reliable collaboration among the varying components of transport,” Frank Larkin, senior vice president and general manager of logistics and commercial services, said in the release.
The Miami Crowley Logistics facility offers full supply of services, including air and ocean cargo consolidation, labeling, packing and crating, and customs brokers. Visit Crowley’s website for more information. http://www.crowley.com/.
