Organic vegetable and herb grower Jacobs Farm Del Cabo, Santa Cruz, Calif., has hired David Arana as strategic sourcing manager.
In the newly created position, Arana is responsible for supply chain fortification across the company’s top commodities, according to a news release.
Before he joined Jacobs Farms Del Cabo, he was director of supply chain development for DiMare International. Overall, he has more than 20 years of experience in agriculture, focused on supply chain management, logistics and sourcing, according to the release.
“We are thrilled to have David lead our strategic sourcing efforts,” Sarah Barber, director of planning, said in the release. “David is not only a produce veteran, but he has the heart and soul to make a real impact in furthering the Jacobs Farm Del Cabo mission.”
Arana’s career began in Nogales, working at his family’s produce business. He’s based in San Jose del Cabo in Baja California Sur, Mexico.

In addition to David’s strong portfolio of experience, his industry journey began in Nogales, Arizona working with the family produce business and now operates from San Jose del Cabo in Baja California Sur, Mexico with his wife and two young children. He is committed to the pursuit of promoting organic food production and regenerative cultivation techniques.
