Fonseca has been with the company for 28 years. In her new role, Fonseca will lead the project management team and “enhance supply-chain capabilities,” according to a news release. She joined the company in 1991 as an administrative assistant, followed by promotions to administrative coordinator, logistics and distribution manager and most recently logistics and distribution director, a position she started 2011.

Scott Owens, who led Del Monte Fresh Produce’s banana, pineapple and melon programs, left the company on June 10, according to the release. He previously had been with Wonderful Citrus, Chiquita Brands International and General Mills.

“We appreciate all the hard work Scott contributed to our banana, pineapple and melon programs and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” Nucci Cerioli, senior vice president of North America, said in the release. “Our team is very excited for Ana Cristina to assume her new role. She has been an integral part of the Del Monte Fresh Produce team for so many years that we are looking forward to seeing what she can do as vice president of product management.”
