As the DiMare Co., Homestead, Fla., nears its 90th anniversary, DiMare Fresh is making executive changes, promoting Jerry Campbell to vice president and chief operating officer and hiring Hurley Neer in sales.

Campbell, who has been with DiMare Fresh since it was established in 2003, has more than 30 years of experience in produce, including food safety, management, and information technology.  Most recently, he managed information technology for DiMare Fresh.

Neer, DiMare Fresh vice president of sales, has been the operations manager for Eastern vegetables for L&M Cos., director of operations and planning for Del Monte Fresh Produce, vice president of sales for Rosemont Farms Corp. and business development manager for Rene Produce. He’s been involved with the industry for almost three decades, according to the release.

Controller Julie Anderson, who also has been with DiMare Fresh since its founding, has been promoted to vice president. Before joining the company, she had more than 15 years of accounting experience.

“We have a unique value proposition to bring to the industry today, with our family farms, and service centers located across the country, including two state-of-the-art facilities in the booming markets of Houston and Dallas-Ft. Worth,” President Paul DiMare said in the release.
