Organic grower Duncan Family Farms, Goodyear, Ariz., has promoted a number of employees.
“Our business has expanded into various regions to better serve our customers, and our team members’ duties have also expanded,” Pete Guerrero, chief operating officer, said in a news release. “These promotions recognize the important individuals directing these business units with titles that honor their service and represent their responsibilities.”
The promotions are:
Tom Stills — director of post-harvest operations and logistics. Stills has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, and was originally hired as the post-harvest and logistics manager.
Lalo Orozco — senior district director. Orozco joined Duncan Family Farms as a general laborer when he was 16, according to the release, and has had a number of roles, including district manager for operations in Arizona, California and New York.
Sean Duncan — senior director of supply chain. Duncan’s previous titles were supply chain supervisor and supply chain manager.
Jesus Rodriquez — harvest director. Rodriquez has had several roles at Duncan Family Farms, including harvest crew leader and harvest senior supervisor.
Jeremy Vanderzyl — food safety director. Vanderzyl, a public health scientist, has been food safety crew lead, specialist and manager at Duncan Family Farms, according to the release.
Juan Calderon — director of farming operations. Calderon joined Duncan Family Farms to manage harvesting operations and day-to-day sales at the company’s Cuyama and Nipomo farms, later serving as farm manager at those locations.
