Dynamic Systems Inc., Redmond, Wash., has updated its SIMBA production and inventory traceability system to allow for tracking lots to a specific case, including mixed or commingled product.

The SIMBA system collects data on the production floor as product is packed, recording product attributes, pack dates, inventory locations and shipping details via barcode, according to a news release.

The system can be leased for about $350-500 a month, and software, hardware options, training, labels and support are included, according to the release.

“We are excited about our ability to offer an affordable system and to answer one of the more complex issues of traceability in the industry,” Leif Anderson, director of sales and services, said in the release.

“Mixed and commingled lots can now be uniquely identified using SIMBA.”
