Citrus growers can learn the latest data from University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences at a Citrus Nutrition Day conference in Bartow, Fla.

UF/IFAS faculty will give updates on citrus nutrition and provide tours on field trials at Peace River Packing Grove in Polk County.

Experts will share their research on a range of topics at the Bartow event on Dec. 11:

• Davie Kadyampakeni, assistant professor of soil and water sciences, will discuss irrigation management for trees affected by citrus greening, or huanglongbing. 

• Kelly Morgan, professor of soil and water sciences and center director, will share abou the effect of soil pH levels on tree nutrient status. 

• Arnold Schumann, professor of soil and water sciences, will tell how to improve performance of HLB-affected trees with macro- and micro-nutrients.

• Tripti Vashisth, assistant professor of horticultural sciences and citrus extension specialist, will give a nutrition trial update.
