Food safety-sanitation provider PSSI has rebranded sister company Packers Chemical Inc. as PSSI Chemical Innovations.

The company unveiled the new name, logo and unified website for the companies — pssi.com — following a 2019 rebrand to broaden PSSI’s position as a complete food safety solutions provider, according to a news release.

“Our food safety and chemical teams already work hand-in-hand every day to provide the highest level of protection for our partners and protect our employee’s safety,” Dan Taft, CEO of PSSI, said in the release. “Unifying our teams under one main brand will help to emphasize our position across the marketplace and position us well for additional growth in the future.”

PSSI, Keller, Wis., acquired Packers Chemical in 2016. Now known as PSSI Chemical Innovations, the company makes more than 210 million pounds of detergents and sanitizers a year.

“While our core business will not change, we are excited at the opportunity align with the PSSI brand,” Doug Sharp, president of PSSI Chemical Innovations, said in the release. “We’ve had a strong relationship working together for many years now and this unified approach will continue to reinforce our value and commitment to providing the highest level of service together.”

PSSI and PSSI Chemical Innovations will showcase food safety products at the International Production and Processing Expo Jan. 28-30 in Atlanta, at Hall B, booth No. 7205.
