Fred Berry, senior account manager of Homegrown Organic Farms, Porterville, Calif., plans to retire.

Berry, who joined Homegrown Organic in 2015, plans to retire at the end of May, according to a news release.

The company said Berry was a contributor in cultivating direct-to-retail relationships in citrus and other categories.

Before joining Homegrown Organic, Berry was marketing director at Mulholland Citrus, Orange Cove, Calif. He has also been vice president of sales operations for Kings Canyon Corrin LLC, Reedley, Calif., and interim manager and chairman of the California Grape & Tree Fruit League, Fresno.

He has also had affiliations with the league’s successor, California Fresh Fruit Association, and California Citrus Mutual, according to the release.

“Fred brought savvy business acumen and extensive knowledge of the industry to Homegrown team,” Craig Morris, citrus category director for Homegrown Organic, said in the release. “He will be greatly missed as he enters into this new retirement chapter.”
