GreenGate Fresh has added a coleslaw kit for foodservice customers.
The fresh-cut kit contains 5 pounds of fresh-cut cabbage with carrots and a 1.5-pound pouch of dressing.
“The chains that I’ve worked with notice a significant difference between ready-made and freshly prepared coleslaw,” said Jamie Shipley, Southeast regional sales manager for Fresh Avenue, in a news release. “The kit makes it easy to prep and serve, and really there is no substitute for the flavor of coleslaw made fresh each day.”
Fresh Avenue markets GreenGate products, which are grown in California and Arizona.
Fresh Avenue managing partner Mark Vaughan has a background in fresh-cut, according to the release, for deli/foodservice customers.
“By adding a coleslaw kit to GreenGate’s offerings, we are now multiplying the value Fresh Avenue brings to foodservice and now the deli market,” Vaughan said in the release.
The company will be sampling the coleslaw kit at the International Restaurant Show March 4-6 in New York.
