Colorado fruit grower Harry Talbott is one of the newest members of the Colorado Agriculture Hall of Fame.

Talbott, of Palisade-based Talbott Mountain Gold and the Mesa Land Trust, grows peaches, apples, pears and wine grapes, according to the Colorado FFA Foundation.

“I’m totally surprised. I really feel honored, and having said that, I think it’s really important to note that all the stuff we have accomplished is because we have been able to keep a family team together,” Talbott said in an article on Colorado news station KJCT8.com.

Talbott was named a winner because of his dedication and family history with the Palisade fruit industry, according to the article.

The induction ceremony was Feb. 21 in Denver.
