The Facebook page for Fruits & Veggies — More Matters now has more than one million “likes.”
The Produce for Better Health Foundation uses the page to connect to consumers and present research, recipes and more, according to a news release. PBH recorded its first Facebook Live segment recently, featuring retail dietitians at the Produce Marketing Associaton’s Fresh Summit in New Orleans. Thousands viewed the video.
“We seek to deliver an engaging experience through our social media channels,” Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak, president and CEO of PBH, said in the release. “We are listening to consumers as well as food influencers and helping them make fruit vegetables actionable as part of a healthy, active lifestyle. In turn, we have earned the trust of an engaged community that is interacting with and sharing the Fruits & Veggies — More Matters experience.”
PBH also reaches consumers through other social media platforms, including Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
