Produce industry associations are sponsoring a three-day Food Safety Modernization Act training class in Delta, Colo.
The Feb. 19-21 course focuses on the Preventive Controls for Human Food rule, and is applicable to packinghouse operators, fresh-cut processors and other food facility operators, according to a news release. Western Growers, the Produce Marketing Association and the United Fresh Produce Association are sponsoring the course, with support from the Colorado Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association, Colorado State University, Local Food Safety Collaborative and the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union.

Members of the Colorado Fruit and Vegetable Association, PMA, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, United Fresh and Western Growers will receive $250 off the $950 cost of the program, according to the release.
