Murrieta, Calif.-based West Pak Avocado is off to Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit to feature the bagged avocado program, support retailers using Avo-Opportunities, and offer regional category reviews, aka Avo-Audits.

“At West Pak, we can team up with key customers to help them grow their business in the avocado category in different ways,” Joe Nava, vice president of sales and business development for West Pak, said in a news release. “Rather than just offering the enticement of promotional pricing, we’re looking to help drive consumption at the consumer level and increase a retailer’s foot traffic in the produce section.”

Fresh Summit is an opportunity to meet with customers and conduct category reviews to identify and target what motivates avocado consumption in their region, Nava said. 

The Avo-Opportunities program provides packaging, point-of-sale, marketing, sales and educational materials, according to the release. Additionally, there are outreach and social media programs available to connect with chefs, nutritionists and influencers.
