The Global Food Safety Initiative has hired Rishi Banerjee as senior manager for the U.S. and Canada.
His hire is a significant step for the GFSI, according to a news release, because it fits with the organization’s strategy to implement programs at a regional level while advancing food safety harmonization on the global level.
The GFSI is managed by The Consumer Goods Forum, a global network of more than 400 companies supporting “Better Lives Through Better Business,” according to the release. Banerjee will work at The Consumer Goods Forum’s Washington, D.C., office.
“With the U.S.-Canada region being so critical, I am truly excited about the potential for growth,” Banerjee said in the release. “I’m looking forward to building on the existing relationships we have with stakeholders and forging new ones.”
