Gold Coast Packing Inc., Santa Maria, Calif., is promoting a new salad blend, the Sunny Superfood Salad.

The colorful salad has kale, Napa cabbage, green cabbage, watermelon radish, broccoli stems, carrots and cilantro. Gold Coast officially introduced the new product at the Produce Marketing Association’s Foodservice Expo. Since then, the company has received a lot of positive feedback, according to a news release.

“What makes this product unique is that it has so much color, it’s rare to see watermelon radish in a blend like this, plus it has great texture and its loaded with superfoods,” Crystal Chavez, Gold Coast marketing manager, said in the release. “The kale and cabbages offer so many health benefits and can go with a variety of flavor profiles, the carrots and broccoli stem add the crunch, the beautiful burst of fuchsia color comes from the watermelon radish and cilantro throws in that punch of flavor.”

The Sunny Superfood Salad is available in cartons with four 2.5-pound foodservice packs.
