California table grapes are making big inroads in foodservice menus this fall, the California Table Grape Commission reports.
California grapes will be included this fall on the menus of Restaurant Associates, a large U.S. hospitality chain that provides food to corporate dining, education facilities, and museums, according to the release. Customers of the chain include the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Smithsonian, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
Restaurant Associates will feature California grapes in snack boxes, grab ‘n go options, and smoothies, according to the release.
In addition, new recipes will be developed and basic grape applications, including grape-only snack cups and charcuterie with California grapes, will also be introduced.
California grapes will also be on the menu at Wow Café, a 54-unit, fast-casual restaurant chain found on university campuses, and in hospitals, hotels, and airports around the country, according to the release. Grapes will be the signature ingredient in an entrée salad as a limited time offer running from October 1 to mid-November. Wow Café has locations in 25 states and Washington, D.C.
