Grimmway Farms, Bakersfield, Calif., honored founders Rod and Bob Grimm at a 50th anniversary celebration, kicking off the “Family-Owned for 50 Years and Growing” campaign.

The company sponsored a farm tour of San Jaoquin Valley ranches and a dinner in an Arvin, Calif., cabbage field, according to a news release. The company highlighted Grimmway’s Cal-Organic Farms farming practices used in growing 65 seasonal and year-round vegetable crops.

The event was an opportunity to reflect on the company’s history.

“So many factors have contributed to the last 50 years of success,” Brett Grimm, Bob Grimm’s son and sales associate at Grimmway Farms. “It felt opportune to celebrate in the fields, amongst our community, with our employees and customers whom have been the pillars of our company’s achievements.”

More events celebrating Grimmway Farms are planned to honor employees, suppliers, customers and communities throughout the year.
