Dan Moss, CEO of Moss Ag, Declo, Idaho, is the new chairman of Potatoes USA.

Moss started his one-year term in mid-March during the Potatoes USA annual meeting in Denver. He is serving his third year on the board and the second as an executive committee member; last year he was co-chairman of the Research Committee.

Moss Ag grows for the fresh, dehy, frozen and seed sectors. He has been farming for 48 years. Moss has also been president of the National Potato Council.

“The potato industry is in an excellent place right now, exports continue to grow and we remain America’s favorite vegetable,” Moss said in a news release.

Potatoes USA recently launched a new campaign, “What Are You Eating?”

“ … With campaign we have the opportunity to change people’s basic perception of the nutritional benefits of the potato, and this could have significant long-term benefits,” he said In the release.
