ORLANDO, Fla. - First-time Fresh Summit exhibitor Hazel Technologies is continuing its work with tropical fruit, stone fruit and more than 30 types of fresh produce says Patrick Flynn, co-founder of Chicago, Ill., -based Hazel Technologies Inc.
Primary focus areas are tropicals and stone fruit, including avocados, peaches, plums, nectarines, and melons, he says.
“Many post-harvest solutions are hard to use, requiring significant investment and labor during application,” Aidan Mouat, chief executive officer at Hazel Technologies, said in an earlier news release. “We developed a technology that not only improves arrival quality and reduces shrink, but also offers an unparalleled ease-of-use: simply toss the Hazel product in the box during packing, and you are ready to ship.”
The company’s line of Hazel sachets are placed in boxes of ready-to-ship fresh produce, ensuring improved storage and arrival quality. The company said more than 100 packers and shippers have partnered with Hazel this year since the launch of the Hazel product line in 2017.
