Hazel Technologies, Chicago, has hired Martin Roeder as its Latin America sales manager.

Roeder has more than 20 years of experience in commercial strategy in Latin America for companies including Monsanto and Spectrum Technologies Inc., according to a news release.

Roeder is a native of Peru.

He lead Spectrum Technologies’ agricultural/horticultural business in Latin America since 2011, according to the release. At Monsanto, he led the technology development division for Monsanto in Ecuador, Panama and Peru for more than a decade.

 “Martin brings decades of knowledge and experience to our team and will be a key asset in growing our business throughout Latin America.” Aidan Mouat, CEO of Hazel Technologies, said in the release. “Key additions like Martin will allow us to continue to provide value from the grower level all the way to the retail shelves, reducing costly waste and improving sales for suppliers and retailers alike.”
