Hazel Technologies Inc., Chicago, will be demonstrating its post-harvest solutions at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit Oct. 19-20 in Orlando, Fla.

The company’s sachets, when placed in fruit cartons in transit, improve storage and arrival quality, according to a news release.

“Many post-harvest solutions are hard to use, requiring significant investment and labor during application,” said Aidan Mouat, CEO, in a news release. “We developed a technology that not only improves arrival quality and reduces shrink, but also offers an unparalleled ease-of-use: simply toss the Hazel product in the box during packing, and you are ready to ship.”

More than 100 packers and shippers are using Hazel products, according to the release, since the company released its first product in 2017.

Hazel works with more than 30 types of fresh produce, according to the company, which will be exhibiting at booth No. 160.
