Honeybear Brands is set for a big splash at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit Oct. 19-20 in Orlando, Fla.
The company said in a news release it is set to launch its biggest ever year with Pazazz, introduce First Kiss MN 55 apples to the Fresh Summit expo show floor and give a sneak peek at some in-development varieties.
“It’s go time for Pazazz, which we’re just getting ready to ship into the first of more than 60 markets,” Don Roper, vice president of sales and marketing at Honeybear Brands, said in the release. “We think the quality is the best we’ve seen coming out of every one of our orchards.”
Samples of the new Pazazz crop, from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Washington, New York and Nova Scotia will be available for sampling throughout the show. Last season, Pazazz grew by more than 300% at retail, according to the release.
“Plus we’re sampling some hand-picked, promising varieties from our varietal development program, as well as First Kiss — which you can’t get anywhere else at PMA,” Roper said in the release.
Honeybear will be displaying new point-of-sale material and retail packaging at booth No. 2927.
