Immokalee, Fla.-based Immokalee Produce Shippers Inc. is selling more grape and cherry medley tomatoes, said Michael Meininkaitis, director of operations for Plainville, Conn.-based Northeast Produce Inc. and owner of Immokalee Produce Shippers.

“We’re selling maybe, 800 to 1,000 cases a week this season, compared to a pallet a week last year,” Meininkaitis said. “The flavor on grapes and cherries is good, but sometimes people want to eat something a little different,” he said.
