ORLANDO, Fla. — Dan Canales, senior vice president of sales, marketing and processing for Salinas, Calif.-based Ippolito International, shows off Royal Brussels sprouts and Brussels sprouts chips, two new products for the company.

Royal Brussels sprouts are a purple variety that has a more nutty taste than regular sprouts, and are packed in a 12-ounce bag.

The product will be available year-round after the first of the year, Caneles says.

Brussels sprouts chips are single leaves that can be baked in the oven for chip-like snacks or used in other applications. They come in a 12-count container of 10-ounce packages, Caneles says, and received a lot of positive responses at Fresh Summit.

That product will also be available after the first of the year, he says.
