Ippolito International, Salinas, Calif., has hired Jason Grolnick as sales/commodity manager and Jon Kiley as director of value added/business development.
Grolnick started his career in produce at Markon Cooperative as a buyer in 1997. He moved to the sales side at NewStar Fresh Foods, and for the past 15 years has been a senior account manager at Tanimura & Antle, focusing on foodservice growth, according to a news release.
At Ippolito, he will continue working with foodservice customers, and developing new distribution channels for the company.
Kiley has more than 25 years of experience in retail and foodservice. The director of value-added/business development is a new role for the company, according to the release. He will lead initiatives to expand Ippolito’s value-added business.
He previously was at Earthbound Farm, in roles that include strategic planning, retail and foodservice business development, sales and account management, according to the release.
Dan Canales, senior vice president of sales, marketing and processing, said Grolnick and Kiley have strong backgrounds in the industry.
“Both bring a wealth of experience and knowledge which will help with our company’s short- and long-term strategic goals for both value-added and commodity sales,” Canales said in the release.
