( MacFrut 2019 )

Citing the spread of the coronavirus, organizers of the Italian international fruit and vegetable expo Macfrut have rescheduled the event from May to September.

“Due to the progressive spread of the Covid-19 virus, the board of directors of Cesena Fiera decided to move Macfrut to Sept. 8-10 in Rimini, Italy,  instead of holding it May 5-7,” the news release said.

Italy has more than 7,300 confirmed cases of the coronavirus covid-19,  third globally behind China and South Korea, according to the Johns Hopkins live tracker of the outbreak on May 24.
